Rated 5 out of 5 by from ADULT CATS I like this for my 20 year old cat however you need to make more flavors and something other than a pate style for older cats. Do not include fish items this is bad for older cats (did a lot of research). My cats have been eating Friskies all of their lives my oldest who will be 21 this October has just developed a high thyroid problem, yes she will be fine and is on medication. She has been on medication for about a week now, I just need to get her to gain weight. I would hate to see her switch cat foods to for instance Hills because of her medical condition. Maybe you could look into a formula for putting weight back on cats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food for my diabetic cat My 13 1/2 year old cat Shilo, was diagnosed with diabetes 2 months ago and I had to find a cat food that was low in carbohydrates. After reading on the internet about which food is good for diabetic cats, I chose the Friskies Special Diet Beef & Chicken. I had been feeding the Shredded Chicken in Gravy, but found out that has too much fat. I spoke with my vet about switching to this Special Diet and he said it would be fine and only feed him this food. Needless to say, Shilo is a very happy camper now that he only gets canned food. He is also on insulin injections twice a day, and I can honestly say that my vet and I finally have his levels at a normal range. I do credit the food and insulin for this, but now I know that I am feeding him a food that I can trust to help him with the diabetes and also that has not been on any recall lists. That is a big plus for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product I have been feeding my cat the Special Diet canned food for two years now. The price is much more reasonable than the food I was purchasing at the Vets Office. Does the special diet come in a case? I have only been able to find it in individual cans. This is the best for my cat since he has always had a urinary infection problem. Seems to be working, my cat has not had a reoccurance of the infection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best product I've found for urinary tract health I really like this product and the other flavors too. Cats like it much more than any other specialty diet products I've tried. The price is definitely affordable too. I haven't used it long enough to know if it really helps urinary tract and kidney health but am hoping the lower pH will help my older cats that have problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for cats with urinary tract issues! I've been feeding my cats this for a while now, it's so much more affordable than the vet-recommended cat food for cats with urinary tract problems. They love it---and they are quite picky when it comes to food. The problem is that my local grocery store does not seem to sell the Friskies Special Diet cat food anymore, nor can I find it in any of my local pet stores. Is it possible to purchase this directly from your website? Also, is it available by the case? (I've only been able to find individual cans). Please keep the formula the way it is, this is the only cat food my cats like and it has helped cure their urinary tract infections! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cured my cat's UTI My last cat had several UTIs in the space of one year. They prescribed antibiotics but the infection kept coming back. I investigated cat foods and saw Friskies Special Diet was recommended for Urinary health. I put him exclusively on Friskie's Special Diet and for the rest of his life (another 8 years) he never had another problem with urinary tract infections. Not ONCE. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pate Foods Keena and Rocky really enjoy the pate foods. I like to purchase a variety of the food. It is hard to find the beef, but the chicken seems to get their attention.

These amounts are averages and your cat’s needs may differ. Feeding amounts should be adjusted as necessary to help your cat maintain an ideal body condition.

Kittens generally nibble solid foods at 3 to 4 weeks of age. Keep moistened PURINA® CAT CHOW® Naturals, available to these kittens at all times. Just add one part liquid to three parts PURINA® CAT CHOW® Naturals, changing frequently to ensure freshness. After weaning, at 6 to 8 weeks of age, kittens will normally eat dry or moistened food at will. Start a self-feeding program, leaving food in the dish at all times. Feeding amounts should be adjusted as necessary to help your kitten maintain an ideal body condition.

PURINA® CAT CHOW® Naturals provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female’s good body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation.

Changes in your pet’s diet should be made gradually to allow your pet to become accustomed to a new food. When switching your cat to PURINA® CAT CHOW® from another cat food, please allow 7 to 10 days for the transition. Gradually add more PURINA® CAT CHOW® and less of the previous food to your pet’s dish each day until the changeover is complete.

Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily.

For your pet’s health, see your veterinarian regularly.
