Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Yummy for my puppies I have 5 puppies all under the age of 15 months and I feed a mixtures of Purina Puppy Chow - Adult Dog Chow - Rice & Lamb Dow Chow - Kibbles & Bits - all my dogs love their food - I do switch the Kibbles & Bits with Purina Alpo some times to give them a different flavour We tried changing the food but my Mastiff ended up having an allergic reaction to the new food we tried so we are sticking with Purina Puppy Chow and Dog Chow I also foster puppies for local rescue (Winnipeg Giant Breed Rescue) and my foster puppies actual prefer the Purina dog food - I will mix my dogs food with the foster puppies food so they will start eating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Coonhounds love it! I started my boy's on Iams. Thought it was better feed. They would not eat and dropped weight big time. My buddy told me to get a bag of puppy chow. Said he only feeds this to his pups and then to dog chow. I was hesitant honestly. But I bought it. The pups devoured it. I also feed a can of Pro plan canned food because of them being under weight. But they love both. I love that the puppy chow pieces are so small. I told my vet I switched. He told me I made a good choice, after all high dollar food isn't any good if they will not eat it. Thank you Purina. Customer for life

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Purina puppy chow complete. I bought this food about three weeks ago, and honestly, I have mixed emotions about it. First of all the chicken is not the #1 ingredient, it is chicken flavoring. I don't like that. Second, I am a breeder, and my families got coupons that they can get on line, and it says $3 coupon and when they print it out, it is for $2. Also, some of the families are older, and do not use computers. When these people buy a puppy, they usually have money, but situations change, retirement, lost jobs, illness, and these families count on every penny they can save. Please take these comments into consideration. I continue to purchase Purina, but another line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If my puppy could talk, he would say Thank You! My husband and I got our Schnauzer puppy Wrigley after losing our other beloved Schnauzer last year. The breeder we got Wrigley from only feeds her pups Purina Puppy Chow Complete and highly recommended we keep him on this food because of how good it was for his development. Well we listened to her and are so glad we did! It has everything that a growing puppy needs to stay happy and healthy and very energetic! I believe it's a very balanced meal for my pup! Wrigley is now 8 months old and so happy and LOVES his puppy chow! Gobbles it up so fast!!! I recommend this brand and this puppy chow to all my friends and family that have gotten puppies or in the process. Purina will always be my fur baby's brand! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Assurance! We purchased an 8-week-old puppy on a Sunday and took him to our Vet the following day. When I asked what to feed this new little character, the Vet highly recommended your Puppy Chow...even over the new, holistic foods now being advertised which contain no grains or additives. Our Vet said the new (very expensive) foods were not necessary. He has been recommending your products for over 20 years and said all his dogs have grown up strong and healthy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Question My dog loves this brand! We have had no issues and he is growing like a weed. The only question about it I have is what your recommendations are for how often puppies need fed. He is 3, almost 4 months old. I looked up a bunch of articles that state 3 times a day, which I have been doing, but at what point should I switch him to two feedings a day?

These amounts of PURINA PUPPY CHOW puppy food are recommended for an average puppy with a normal activity level. Remember food intake requirements vary depending on age, activity and environment, and should be adjusted accordingly.

Puppies start to nibble on solid foods at 3 to 4 weeks of age. Keep moistened PURINA PUPPY CHOW (three parts kibble to one part water) available to puppies at all times until fully weaned (6 to 8 weeks of age).

After weaning, PURINA PUPPY CHOW can be fed moistened or dry at the same time every day – very young puppies three times a day, older puppies twice a day. Use the feeding guidelines shown here, but remember individual needs can vary. Feed to maintain ideal body condition. Slight appetite changes and occasional digestive upsets are normal in puppies. If upsets become severe or linger longer than a day or two, contact your veterinarian.

PURINA PUPPY CHOW provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female’s good body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation.

When switching to PURINA PUPPY CHOW from another food, please allow 7 to 10 days for the transition. Gradually add more PURINA PUPPY CHOW and less of the previous food to your pet’s dish each day until the changeover is complete. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets.

As your puppy develops, please refer to the feeding chart to determine when to transition your puppy based on his size to the Purina Dog Chow Formula that’s right for your dog. Please allow 7 to 10 days for the transition.

Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily.

For your pet’s health, see your veterinarian regularly.
