Purina® Yesterday's News® Brand Unscented Original Texture Cat Litter is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Best for Kittens I foster kittens for a no-kill animal shelter and I always use Yesterday's News for them. Kittens should not use cat litter that is dusty, gets trapped in their little paws, or dangerous to eat (because they WILL ingest it, either out of curiousity or when grooming). The pellets are comfy on sensitive little paws, naturally deodorizing, and don't stick to their feet. However, I don't like using this litter for my adult cats because you really need to clean it out every day. I don't scrub the whole pan daily, but I do scoop out solid waste and wet sections, then cover with a layer of fresh litter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yesterday's News - Original This is by far the best cat litter I ever used. I never new it was available until I unfortunately had to have my cats front claws removed and my vet suggested it. I haven't changed since even though I only needed to use it for healing purposes. At first I thought it was is expensive but the length of time it last far outweighs the other options out there. I've been using this product for well over 5 years and have no intentions of ever changing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Litter I have been using Yesterday's News since before Purina purchased the rights to it. Very low dust-my asthmatic cat's symptoms have reduced dramatically. Odor control is best I've found. Absorbency is fabulous. Works the best when waste removed daily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very please with this litter Very please with this litter which may eliminate more litter! pun intended! :) Used this with little outside kennel kittens... and it worked great! They were all litter trained by 5 weeks! :) :) My cat transitioned to it very easily and had no issues with it. :) And no mess! It is great :) Just what I would expect from Purina :) Trying to get it into my local pet supplies stores (we are rural & small town)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clean Litter All three of my cats took to it immediately. It is a very fast absorbing, and far cleaner than clay litter. I would have given a 5 star if the pellets was a lot shorter. This would do two things: making it easier for the cats to dig and bury their waste, and making Yesterday's News easier for to pass through the scoop. Bottom line, shorter Yesterday's News would be a super winner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for Kittens I foster kittens and use this as their training litter. It is safe for them if they happen to ingest it. They do well training with this brand. It is absorbent and a small layer of it can be used at a time. Only downside is there is no odor control. Though, if there was, it may no longer be safe for kittens, so I can understand it.

Use a moisture-proof cat box large enough to comfortably accommodate your cat(s). Maintain cat box filler at a depth of 2-3 inches for pawing and covering. We recommend removing waste areas daily. Clean the cat box with warm water and a mild detergent between litter changes.

We want to remind those with suppressed immune systems and pregnant women that a parasite sometimes found in cat feces can cause toxoplasmosis. Please wash hands thoroughly after handling used cat box filler. Encouraging your cat to use an indoor litter box, or properly disposing of outdoor cat feces, is beneficial to overall water quality. Please do not flush cat litter in toilets or dispose of it outdoors in gutters or storm drains. Used litter is not recommended for garden use. Store in a dry place. Product is filled by weight; some settling may occur.

While some cats can switch from one litter type you should follow this simple transition schedule:

• Week One – mix 1/3 Yesterday News® with 2/3 your current litter
• Week Two – mix 1/2 Yesterday News® with 1/2 current litter
• Week Three – 100% Yesterday’s News®
