Use a moisture-proof cat box large enough to comfortably accommodate your cat(s). Maintain cat box filler at a depth of 2-3 inches for pawing and covering. We recommend removing waste areas daily. Clean the cat box with warm water and a mild detergent between litter changes.
NOTE: We want to remind those with suppressed immune systems and pregnant women that a parasite sometimes found in cat feces can cause toxoplasmosis. Please wash hands thoroughly after handling used cat box filler. Encouraging your cat to use an indoor litter box, or properly disposing of outdoor cat feces, is beneficial to overall water quality. Please do not flush cat litter in toilets or dispose of it outdoors in gutters or storm drains. Used litter is not recommended for garden use. Store in a dry place. Product is filled by weight; some settling may occur.
TRANSITIONING YOUR CAT:
While some cats can switch from one litter type easily, your cat may require a transition. If so, you should follow this simple transition schedule:
I’ve been using this for years! So easy to scoop and keep the litter clean!
My cat is 10 years old and this is the only type of litter that she likes to use. My parents had the Gravel type and Tasha kicked A LOT out of the pan, whereas with this she does not kick any on. I gave mom and dad some so that it would be cleaner and now everyone is happier.
This is a great cat litter! We've tried the conventional and we find they leave dust around the litter tray, that doesn't happen with Yesterday's News.. Highly recommended.
Thank you for sharing your review! We appreciate your support.
My sister used this litter on her veterinarians recommendation when she got her new orange tabby kitten. I have 2 young cats and I have been buying it ever since. I like it because of the ease of cleaning the cat litter box there is not the weight associated with the other clumping litter so waste removal is much cleaner. It is also biodegradable and environmentally friendly. I also do not like the scents of the other cat litters so this one does not bother me. The cats do not track it everywhere like the other litters. I am very happy with the original but would like to try the others.
I love this kitty litter, it’s soft on paws, reasonably priced, easy to clean and eco friendly !
I foster kittens and use this as their training litter. It is safe for them if they happen to ingest it. They do well training with this brand. It is absorbent and a small layer of it can be used at a time. Only downside is there is no odor control. Though, if there was, it may no longer be safe for kittens, so I can understand it.
Your feedback is much appreciated!
My cat liked this litter, worked well. I liked that it was from recycled newspapers
Wonderful to hear your cats like their litter!
Our cat developed asthma after years of dusty clumping litter use. We switched to Yesterday's News and he hasn't had an attack since! It's surprisingly absorbent and really controls the urine smell. All 4 of our cats took to the new litter right away & are now breathing easier.
