Feline Urinary Syndrome (FUS) Explained

Feline Urinary Syndrome (FUS) is an inflammation, irritation, and/or obstruction of the lower urinary tract. The inability to pass urine can become a life-threatening condition if not treated quickly. FUS is far more common in males. Warning signs include straining to urinate, blood in the urine, frequent trips to the litter box (with only small amounts voided each time), or forgetting how to use the litter box altogether.
