Bambi - 1968 Inductee

OSHAWA, ONTARIO

BAMBI, a Chihuahua owned by Mr. and Mrs. Roland Morin, saved the life of a visiting friend by awakening her after a fire started in the house. The visitor who suffered from asthma, was resting at the time of the fire and believed she would have been asphyxiated had it not been for Bambi.

The Purina Animal Hall of Fame is a tribute to the incredible bond between pets and people. As Canada’s longest-standing pet recognition program, it celebrates animals whose acts of courage and loyalty have made a profound impact on the lives of others.

At Purina, we believe that pets are more than companions—they are heroes. Since the program began, hundreds of animals have been inducted for their bravery, compassion, and unwavering devotion. These stories remind us of the strength and resilience that pets bring into our lives.

We invite you to explore the stories of past inductees and consider nominating a pet who has shown exceptional courage or loyalty. To learn more about the Purina Animal Hall of Fame or to submit a nomination for the upcoming year, please click here and fill out our form.
