SCARBOROUGH, ONTARIO
JACKIE, a small Terrier, had been partially paralyzed after a fight with a much bigger dog and was about to be put to sleep. However, the Connolly family couldn’t bring themselves to have her put down. Ironically, two years later Jackie saved her owners by alerting them to a fire that destroyed their home.
At Purina, we believe that pets enrich our lives in countless ways. The Purina Animal Hall of Fame is our way of celebrating the extraordinary animals who have gone above and beyond. As Canada’s longest-running pet recognition program, it has honoured hundreds of pets for their acts of heroism, loyalty, and love.
These animals have saved lives, offered comfort, and stood by their humans through life’s most challenging moments. Their stories are powerful reminders of the strength and compassion that pets bring into our lives. Each inductee represents the very best of the human-animal bond.
The Hall of Fame is not only a celebration of these remarkable animals but also an opportunity for Canadians to share their own stories. If you know a pet who has made a difference, we encourage you to nominate them.
