Brandy - 1984 Inductee

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO

Brandy, a six-year-old Irish Setter, saved the lives of her owners, Peter and Brenda White, and their two children by alerting them to afire that had started in the kitchen of their townhouse. Brandy repeatedly hurled herself at her owner's bedroom door until they became aware of the fire and escaped through an upstairs window.

Purina proudly celebrates the extraordinary bond between pets and people through the Purina Animal Hall of Fame. This program, the longest-running of its kind in Canada, honours animals whose acts of courage and loyalty have made a lasting difference in the lives of others.

From alerting families to danger to providing emotional support during difficult times, these animals have shown remarkable bravery and compassion. Their stories are a testament to the strength of the human-animal connection and the powerful role pets play in our lives.

We invite you to explore the incredible stories of past inductees and consider nominating a pet who has made a difference. To learn more about the Purina Animal Hall of Fame or to submit a nomination for the upcoming year, please complete our form. Let’s continue to honour the animals who make our world a better place.
