KENORA, ONTARIO
MURPH, an Australian Blue Merle Sheepdog, saved the lives of all the occupants in an apartment building after alerting her owners of a fire. When a malfunctioning furnace caught fire, Murph awoke her owners, Brad and Carol Diehl, who evacuated the apartment building that later burned to the ground.
At Purina, we honour the powerful connection between pets and people through the Purina Animal Hall of Fame. This program, the longest-running of its kind in Canada, recognizes animals whose acts of bravery and loyalty have changed lives.
These pets have gone beyond companionship—saving lives, offering comfort, and standing by their humans in times of need. Their stories are a testament to the strength of the human-animal bond and the incredible impact pets have on our well-being.
Each inductee into the Hall of Fame represents courage, resilience, and unconditional love. Their legacies continue to inspire Canadians to value and celebrate the animals in their lives.
