Reducing Packaging’s Impact

Design, Reduce, Recycle
Today, more than 95% of our plastic packaging is designed for recycling – a major step forward in reducing our impact. We’re also working to reduce our use of virgin plastics, in part through incorporating more recycled content into our packaging. And we’re supporting improvements to recycling systems, so even more packaging can be collected and turned into something new.

Supporting System Improvements
Designing recyclable packaging and reusing what we can is just one way we’re helping reduce the environmental impact of packaging. We’re also helping improve recycling systems, so more of the packaging from your pet’s favorite products can be recovered and turned into something new.
We’re supporting organizations and are involved in coalitions to help promote better recycling systems. Plus, we’re sponsoring a major initiative to help with recycling flexible plastics. The goal is to help create more effective recycling models that communities can easily adopt and scale based on their needs.

How2Recycle
Always check your product packaging for specific recycling instructions. Look for the How2Recycle icon for help recycling our products. Some materials are not accepted in all communities, so we also encourage pet owners to check with their municipality to verify if a specific material is acceptable for recycling in their location.
