WINNIPEG, MANITOBA
LINDY, an eight-year-old Border Collie/Basset Hound ran down several rows of houses before she found help for her master, David Downie, who suffered an angina attack which left him unconscious and lying in the snow. Lindy’s barking attracted the attention of a neighbour whom she led to her owner. Incredibly, the neighbour Lindy found was a registered nurse, and was able to attend to Mr. Downie who had begun to vomit blood when they arrived.
